Well, I have always dreamed of building my own gas r/c boat… but after a month or two of research and talking about it with a co-worker… I came to the conclusion that I stood very little chance of actually getting it right from scratch. I had considered buying the parts and building it from sorta-scratch… but a pair of the engines I wanted were upwards of $1000 and the outdrives (while good looking as heck) were around $800. The hull was only $300 though, but thats a lot of cash to plunk down on something you have never done before (or even seen).
So I spent some time on the forums at rcuniverse.com and ended up buying one. You can see it in the photo gallery under “Toys”. When I recieve it, I will post more/better pictures. It is the silver one, UPS says it should arrive on Monday the 14th.
Oh yeah, I also added a few cute pictures of Francis in a hat :)
