It took about 30 minutes at the Coca Cola Family Federal Credit union offices to finish up the refinance of my house. Went from 7.5% 30 year fixed to 5% 7 year arm. Payments went from $1391/mo to $1050/mo. Hurray. Unfortunatly, the whole process took about 3 months longer than I would have hoped due to my current (old) morgage company incorrectly reporting that my FIRST THREE payments to them were over 30 days late. Kind of a turn off to the new morgage company when that was only 1.5 years old. Fortunatly, it was an issue that was corrected at the time by MY bank and THEM… they even waived the late fee… but some dipshit still managed to report it to the credit company. Fortunatly, they reversed it but it took about a month to be reflected on my credit report.
