So every year for the past… two years, the Gallery team has had a meet-up. It is sort of a team building, get to know each other get-together exercise. There is a tendancy toward much drinking and tom-foolery, though sometimes we have a few minutes of serious Gallery discussion. Of course, since all of these people come from the “Internet” they are all quite crazy and weird. QUITE crazy and weird.
This year, we met in Las Vegas and all but 1 of us stayed in the same hotel. We had dinner together a few times, drank a lot together, gambled some and talked a lot. All in all, it was great. Mary Ann and I took a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, passing by the impressive Hoover Dam as well. Even though it cost almost as much as their tickets from Atlanta to Las Vegas… it was worth it. Riding in a helicopter is tons of fun, the Grand Canyon is quite awsome and… when you put the two together, it is almost impossible to beat. Next time, I’d like to charter the *whole* helicopter and ask the dude to go all crazy and shit. Flying low, turning lots, going up and down, following the contour of the land. That is about the *only* thing that could have made it better. I’ll be going back to Vegas when I’m rich, to do that.
